The Culture Platform
The CULTURE PLATFORM - www.platformakultury.pl - is a compendium of knowledge about the cultural animation. The site is envisaged as an updated database on programs run by the National Centre for Culture (NCK) and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN), partner initiatives, networks of local partners, activities of individual cultural institutions, etc. Its overriding objective is to collect information from the world of cultural animation, e.g. concerning ongoing education and culture programs, mechanisms of culture management (funds, institutions, online resources, publications) and cultural events from all over Poland.
THE CULTURE PLATFORM includes:
Projects – introduction of interesting and exemplary projects from across the country, indicating ways of applying cultural activities to integrate communities.
Animators - the profiles of cultural animators who presented their projects during the Project Exchange organized by Platforma Kultury as well as their networks and articles (wrote especially for our website).
Publications - a set of major publications about the theory of cultural animation, project management etc.
Knowledge Database - practical information about: grants, programmes, scholarships, awards, contests, internships, workshops, conferences, education, employment and more!
Agenda – all deadlines of the events presented on our website.
We welcome cooperation of all practitioners and theoreticians of culture, institutions providing grants as well as local initiatives and organisations. We count on your assistance in:
- adding content to the various sections
- notifying the editors about interesting culture events
- mutual hyper-linking and online promotion
- sharing experience of project implementation
The Platform of Culture is based on cooperation and creation of an efficient network of contacts and opportunities.
An idea of the Culture Platform was conceived during the 2008 Congress of Culture Education. A website www.edukultura.pl was launched in 2009. The Culture Platform was part-financed within the framework of Education Plus, a pilot program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The website www.platformakultury.pl is managed and coordinated by the National Centre for Culture.
